Research Data Management (ReDaM)

The research community has seen an increasing appetite for open access (OA) and sharing of research data. However, for OA sharing and reuse of data to be successful, an appropriate research data management (RDM) plan has to be developed and practised throughout the lifecycle of research data. Furthermore, researchers need to have an understanding of the issues and key challenges associated with RDM. A questionnaire survey was conducted amongst university researchers in different countries to gain an understanding of the current practices of research data use, creation and sharing amongst academic researchers and their views on the underlying issues and challenges of RDM.
