Il est essentiel que les \u00e9tudiants comprennent la recherche dans le contexte de leur domaine. Au fur et \u00e0 mesure qu'ils progressent dans leurs \u00e9tudes, les \u00e9tudiants s'appuient sur les comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de ma\u00eetrise de l'information qu'ils ont acquises au cours de leurs deux premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es d'\u00e9tudes, ce qui donne des \u00e9tudiants et des professionnels engag\u00e9s et ax\u00e9s sur la recherche (Virtue et al., 2019). Le nouveau cours s'alignera sur diff\u00e9rents cours gr\u00e2ce au mod\u00e8le de la communaut\u00e9 d'apprentissage, ce qui permettra aux \u00e9tudiants de relier les comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de ma\u00eetrise de l'information \u00e0 une application r\u00e9elle dans leur discipline. Nous esp\u00e9rons qu'en suivant ce cours, les \u00e9tudiants seront encourag\u00e9s \u00e0 s'engager dans l'apprentissage tout au long de la vie et qu'ils pourront \u00e9ventuellement passer \u00e0 un \u00e9tablissement de quatre ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objectifs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ans cette session, nous nous concentrerons sur les efforts de collaboration des biblioth\u00e9caires de ce Community College et sur leur nouveau cours de ma\u00eetrise de l'information con\u00e7u pour enseigner les m\u00e9thodes de recherche dans des disciplines sp\u00e9cifiques. Nous avons cr\u00e9\u00e9 ce cours comme une sorte de \"laboratoire\" pour un cours de base dans les disciplines qui se concentrera sur les m\u00e9thodes de recherche utilis\u00e9es dans ces domaines acad\u00e9miques. Par exemple, le cours pourrait \u00eatre associ\u00e9 \u00e0 un cours de base en sociologie et se concentrerait alors sur les m\u00e9thodes de recherche dans ce domaine. Il pourrait \u00e9galement \u00eatre associ\u00e9 \u00e0 un cours d'histoire, o\u00f9 les \u00e9tudiants apprendraient les m\u00e9thodes de recherche dans ce domaine. Le cours ferait appel au centre d'\u00e9criture de l'universit\u00e9 afin d'apprendre aux \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 \u00e9crire dans le domaine qu'ils ont choisi. Il ferait \u00e9galement appel \u00e0 des conf\u00e9renciers invit\u00e9s qui ont men\u00e9 des recherches afin que les \u00e9tudiants puissent poser des questions sur les entretiens, la collecte de donn\u00e9es et d'autres aspects de la recherche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous baserons le cours sur la pratique \u00e0 fort impact (HIP) d'une communaut\u00e9 d'apprentissage. Le cours sera propos\u00e9 dans le cadre du programme obligatoire de premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e de l'universit\u00e9, mais sera sp\u00e9cifiquement adapt\u00e9 aux majeures d\u00e9clar\u00e9es. Le cours, en tant que partie d'une communaut\u00e9 d'apprentissage, enseignera les travaux de recherche qui sont assign\u00e9s dans son cours partenaire. Ce faisant, les \u00e9tudiants seront en mesure d'acqu\u00e9rir les comp\u00e9tences de recherche et le soutien n\u00e9cessaires pour mener \u00e0 bien les travaux de recherche qui leur sont confi\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>M\u00e9thodologie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notre proposition de cours a \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9e par le College Wide Curriculum Committee en mars 2023. Nous avons l'intention d'organiser plusieurs sessions au cours de l'\u00e9t\u00e9 2023, si possible. Un membre de la facult\u00e9 de sociologie a d\u00e9j\u00e0 accept\u00e9 de participer \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re communaut\u00e9 d'apprentissage, pr\u00e9vue pour l'automne 2023. Diverses pr\u00e9occupations sont pr\u00e9sentes, y compris la dotation en personnel pour enseigner le cours \u00e0 un moment o\u00f9 le nombre d'inscriptions est faible. Ainsi, les biblioth\u00e9caires estiment que des cours sur mesure auront plus d'impact sur l'apprentissage des concepts de ma\u00eetrise de l'information par les \u00e9tudiants.
