L'autoroute de l'information (l'internet) a rendu facilement accessible la diffusion de \"contenus\" sur tous les sujets possibles. Ces nouvelles \"libert\u00e9s informationnelles\" ont ouvert la voie \u00e0 diverses recherches interdisciplinaires entre des domaines d'int\u00e9r\u00eat que nous n'aurions jamais consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme compatibles par le pass\u00e9. L'une de ces possibilit\u00e9s discursives se pr\u00e9sente dans l'analyse des sciences de l'information et de leur lien avec la vie animale. Ce lien s'\u00e9tend \u00e0 des questions \u00e9cologiques plus larges qui d\u00e9coulent de l'application des technologies cr\u00e9\u00e9es ou utilis\u00e9es dans les sciences de l'information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme point de d\u00e9part, j'ai pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 les questions qui se posent aux professionnels de l'information, en particulier lorsqu'ils s'occupent de la pr\u00e9servation, de l'organisation et de la diffusion de l'information. Traditionnellement, les professionnels de l'information traitent des documents imprim\u00e9s. Les besoins de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 contemporaine exigent de nouvelles approches, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que les supports \u00e9lectroniques, visuels, audio et autres supports num\u00e9riques imposent un mode de stockage des donn\u00e9es diff\u00e9rent de celui des biblioth\u00e8ques conventionnelles. Le bien-\u00eatre des animaux est conditionn\u00e9 par l'impact de l'homme sur la biosph\u00e8re. Dans cet exemple concret, j'ai parl\u00e9 de l'infrastructure des donn\u00e9es et de l'information. En prenant les installations de stockage de donn\u00e9es comme premier exemple, j'ai expliqu\u00e9 comment le probl\u00e8me de surchauffe et les \u00e9missions de carbone de ces installations modifient la biodiversit\u00e9 des zones environnantes. Par exemple, pendant que les ventilateurs du refroidisseur s'efforcent d'emp\u00eacher les diff\u00e9rentes machines de surchauffer, ils produisent un polluant secondaire : un bruit constant. Ces exemples ont servi d'introduction \u00e0 la discussion sur les autres effets n\u00e9gatifs possibles des pratiques des sciences de l'information sur les animaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces exemples ayant ouvert le d\u00e9bat, je suis pass\u00e9e de l'id\u00e9e de biblioth\u00e8ques vertes (Aulisio, 2013) \u00e0 d'\u00e9ventuels probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s \u00e0 la partie la plus autor\u00e9flexive des sciences de l'information : la ma\u00eetrise de l'information. J'ai analys\u00e9 les recherches actuelles sur la ma\u00eetrise de l'information verte (Kurbano\u011flu &amp; Boustany, 2014) pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la question cl\u00e9 : Quel est le statut de la r\u00e9flexion morale dans les conceptualisations de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information verte ? J'ai utilis\u00e9 le cadre \u00e9thique de la bio\u00e9thique contemporaine pour aborder cette question. Bien que la bio\u00e9thique soit un domaine en d\u00e9veloppement avec diverses d\u00e9finitions et approches de la r\u00e9solution des probl\u00e8mes, elle est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s compatible avec la recherche interdisciplinaire. Ainsi, la bio\u00e9thique a un plus grand potentiel que des positions \u00e9thiques particuli\u00e8res telles que le cons\u00e9quentialisme, les diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9thiques narratives, le contractualisme ou d'autres approches. La question principale dans ce d\u00e9bat \u00e9tait de savoir si la capacit\u00e9 critique de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information incluait les jugements de valeur, en particulier les jugements moraux.
