Ce \u00e0 quoi la plupart des gens ne pensent pas, c'est que la ma\u00eetrise de l'information est quelque chose que nous faisons tous au quotidien, que ce soit en regardant la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision ou en s'informant sur les m\u00e9dias sociaux, nous consommons de l'information en permanence. Si nous consommons constamment, nous ne pensons souvent pas non plus \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re d'\u00e9valuer correctement l'information \u00e0 travers le prisme de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information. Bien que les m\u00e9dias sociaux soient utilis\u00e9s depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, on peut affirmer qu'au cours des deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 comprendre et \u00e0 assimiler l'information par le biais des m\u00e9dias sociaux est devenue cruciale pour les utilisateurs d'Internet. Dans leur article intitul\u00e9 \"Investigating the Relationship Between Information Literacy and Social Media Competence Among University Students\", Zhu et al discutent de la mani\u00e8re dont les m\u00e9dias sociaux ont modifi\u00e9 la ma\u00eetrise de l'information en d\u00e9clarant : \"L'utilisation croissante des m\u00e9dias sociaux, tels que les microblogs, les r\u00e9seaux sociaux, les sites de partage de signets, les blogs communautaires ou les sites de partage de vid\u00e9os, a non seulement modifi\u00e9 la mani\u00e8re dont les gens communiquent, mais a \u00e9galement d\u00e9clench\u00e9 des changements consid\u00e9rables dans le comportement des gens en mati\u00e8re d'information\". Ce n'est qu'en adaptant la fa\u00e7on dont nous enseignons et expliquons la ma\u00eetrise de l'information que la capacit\u00e9 des gens \u00e0 discerner des informations cr\u00e9dibles via les m\u00e9dias sociaux peut \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9e. Ils poursuivent en explorant la ma\u00eetrise de l'information \u00e0 travers trois \u00e9tapes. 1. Le \"stade de la germination\", avant les ann\u00e9es 1970, o\u00f9 les comp\u00e9tences biblioth\u00e9caires constituaient un type de ma\u00eetrise de l'information. 2. Des ann\u00e9es 1970 \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 1980, l'id\u00e9e de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information \"est pass\u00e9e du simple fait de mettre l'accent sur la recherche documentaire... \u00e0 l'encouragement de l'utilisation des outils d'information\" et 3. Des ann\u00e9es 1980 \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 1990, o\u00f9 \"la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 critiquer et \u00e0 \u00e9valuer l'information a \u00e9t\u00e9 valoris\u00e9e\" (Zhu et al, 2021). On peut affirmer qu'entre les ann\u00e9es 2010 et aujourd'hui, un nouveau type de ma\u00eetrise de l'information est n\u00e9cessaire, \u00e0 savoir des comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de collecte d'informations o\u00f9 l'accent est mis sur les informations cr\u00e9dibles. Zhu et al discutent de ce besoin en d\u00e9clarant qu'\"en raison d'un manque de l\u00e9gislation pertinente, les m\u00e9dias sociaux ont connu une augmentation des comportements probl\u00e9matiques, tels que le partage de fausses informations, qui peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9guis\u00e9es en \"derni\u00e8res nouvelles\" ou en informations factuelles\" (Zhu et al, 2021). L'accent mis sur la cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 et la d\u00e9sinformation est un point sur lequel les biblioth\u00e8ques devraient se concentrer, en particulier les biblioth\u00e8ques universitaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette pr\u00e9sentation se penche sur les m\u00e9dias sociaux et explore les comportements des \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 leur \u00e9gard ainsi que la collecte d'informations par le biais d'un devoir de pr\u00e9sentation en classe. Chaque \u00e9l\u00e8ve doit utiliser TikTok, Instagram Stories, Facebook Reels ou des courts-m\u00e9trages YouTube pour explorer l'id\u00e9e d'une information cr\u00e9dible en rapport avec le sujet qu'il souhaite aborder. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce travail, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves devaient explorer les m\u00e9dias sociaux qu'ils utilisent tous les jours (principalement TikTok) et devraient \u00eatre en mesure de dire si les informations qui leur sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es sont cr\u00e9dibles ou non. Ce travail permet non seulement de recueillir des informations sur la mani\u00e8re dont les \u00e9tudiants pensent \u00e0 la ma\u00eetrise de l'information sans avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9s \u00e0 une formation formelle \u00e0 la ma\u00eetrise de l'information, mais il permet \u00e9galement de parler de la mani\u00e8re dont nous consommons les m\u00e9dias et l'information et de la mani\u00e8re dont nous organisons l'information que nous consommons en permanence. Il s'agit d'une bonne pratique car elle aborde la ma\u00eetrise de l'information d'un point de vue social plut\u00f4t que purement acad\u00e9mique.
