En 2013, Zurkowski a clairement indiqu\u00e9 qu'il fallait trouver des moyens de permettre aux citoyens ordinaires de produire et d'exercer un contre-pouvoir afin de limiter efficacement l'argent des int\u00e9r\u00eats particuliers (p. 2). Pour Zurkowski, \"la combinaison de la VA et d'un mouvement de d\u00e9mocratie directe offre \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 des biblioth\u00e8ques une telle opportunit\u00e9 de se remodeler tout en construisant, avec ce qu'il appelle \"la coalition de d\u00e9mocratie directe pour les droits et les responsabilit\u00e9s des citoyens\", le pouvoir de traiter ... [les] \"probl\u00e8mes\" qu'il avait identifi\u00e9s \u00e0 l'\u00e9poque\". Il est clair que Zurkowski avait de profondes pr\u00e9occupations \u00e9thiques concernant la vie socio-\u00e9conomique et politique des citoyens du monde entier. Il consid\u00e9rait que les professionnels de la VA et de l'information, y compris les biblioth\u00e9caires, jouaient un r\u00f4le important dans la cr\u00e9ation d'un monde plus juste et plus \u00e9quitable pour tous. Mon article s'inscrit dans des perspectives critiques, socioculturelles\/sociohistoriques (Freire, 1970) et s'inspire de la vision de Zurkowski et de la perspective \"people-in-practice\" de Lloyd (2012) sur la ma\u00eetrise de l'information. Je mets en lumi\u00e8re des exemples contemporains d'enfants et de jeunes qui \" g\u00e9n\u00e8rent \" (Zurkowski, 1974) et utilisent simultan\u00e9ment des textes informatifs et des litt\u00e9raties pour \" dire la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 au pouvoir policier \", alertant ainsi la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sur leurs r\u00e9alit\u00e9s v\u00e9cues de peur et d'injustice. Le paysage canadien de l'information est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par \" une s\u00e9rie de statistiques et de chiffres d'\u00c9tat li\u00e9s \u00e0 la disparition et \u00e0 la mort de femmes et de filles autochtones... \" (Scribe, 2018, p. 48). Le travail convaincant de Jonnie et al. (2019) sur la d\u00e9fense des droits des jeunes est provoqu\u00e9 par la peur de dispara\u00eetre et de finir mort par le biais d'une repr\u00e9sentation erron\u00e9e\/d\u00e9shumanisation, de l'absence et du besoin d'informations, et du d\u00e9sir de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Cela se produit face \u00e0 ce qu'Amnesty International (2021) d\u00e9crit comme \" des statistiques \u00e9pouvantables [...] conformes aux estimations ant\u00e9rieures de sources telles que Statistique Canada qui ont longtemps indiqu\u00e9 un niveau de violence tr\u00e8s disproportionn\u00e9 contre les femmes et les filles des Premi\u00e8res nations, inuites et m\u00e9tisses \" (par. 4) au Canada. Ma pr\u00e9sentation utilise \" la description, l'analyse et la compr\u00e9hension des exp\u00e9riences \" pour illustrer leur valeur dans la compr\u00e9hension des \" mondes de vie \" de ceux que nous servons en tant que professionnels de l'information (Bruce, p. 12), dans des lieux marqu\u00e9s par une oppression coloniale permanente. J'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 guid\u00e9e par la th\u00e9orie de la ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nographie (1981) et son application \u00e0 la recherche sur la VA par Bruce (2013). Je pr\u00e9sente l'\u00e9criture \u00e9pistolaire des adolescents avec des cadres interpr\u00e9tatifs\/th\u00e9oriques pertinents, tels que le f\u00e9minisme indig\u00e8ne (Joyce, 2020) et la th\u00e9orie de la r\u00e9ponse du lecteur (Rosenblatt, 1978). Ce travail instancie les pratiques critiques de l'agence jeunesse et de l'IL en mettant l'accent sur la litt\u00e9rature multimodale produite par des jeunes dans le but de partager des informations sur des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes mena\u00e7ant la vie qui caract\u00e9risent leurs mondes de vie. Il illustre ainsi la conscience critique des jeunes et leur besoin des possibilit\u00e9s \" transformatrices et autonomisantes \" de l'IL lui-m\u00eame, dans et au-del\u00e0 de leurs contextes (Bruce, 2013).
