Cependant, les m\u00e9thodes traditionnelles d'\u00e9valuation de l'information, telles que le test CRAAP ax\u00e9 sur la lecture attentive, peuvent ne plus suffire \u00e0 l'\u00e8re num\u00e9rique d'aujourd'hui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour relever ce d\u00e9fi, un exercice enseignant des comp\u00e9tences d'\u00e9valuation de l'information mises \u00e0 jour a \u00e9t\u00e9 incorpor\u00e9 dans un atelier d'instructeur biblioth\u00e9caire one-shot enseign\u00e9 dans un grand cours obligatoire de premier cycle \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine de Sharjah. L'exercice est bas\u00e9 sur une nouvelle m\u00e9thode d'\u00e9valuation des m\u00e9dias en ligne appel\u00e9e SIFT (The Four Moves), d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e en 2017 par le sp\u00e9cialiste de l'information num\u00e9rique Mike Caulfield (Caulfield, 2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La m\u00e9thode SIFT se compose de quatre mouvements qui sont effectu\u00e9s lorsque l'on rencontre des informations en ligne ;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enqu\u00eater sur la source<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trouver une meilleure couverture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retrouver la source des citations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Le nouvel exercice est con\u00e7u pour apprendre aux \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer la l\u00e9gitimit\u00e9 des informations de mani\u00e8re rapide et efficace en recadrant les comp\u00e9tences d'\u00e9valuation de l'information comme \"apprendre \u00e0 penser comme des v\u00e9rificateurs de faits\", comme le sugg\u00e8re la s\u00e9rie de vid\u00e9os SIFT de Caulfield qui enseigne la m\u00e9thode (CTRL-F, 2020). L'exercice, enseign\u00e9 dans le cadre de l'atelier unique, a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9 pendant plusieurs semestres dans toutes les sections du cours, enseign\u00e9 soit par l'un des deux enseignants biblioth\u00e9caires, soit par un assistant d'enseignement dipl\u00f4m\u00e9. L'exercice continue d'\u00eatre affin\u00e9 et mis \u00e0 jour en fonction du retour d'information et des nouvelles d\u00e9couvertes, afin de s'assurer que les comp\u00e9tences sont transmises en utilisant l'approche la plus efficace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En encourageant les \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 explorer le contexte plus large d'une source, ils peuvent s'auto-apprendre et s'entra\u00eener \u00e0 utiliser des habitudes d'\u00e9valuation qui sont tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cieuses \u00e0 la fois sur le plan acad\u00e9mique et pour leurs comp\u00e9tences personnelles en mati\u00e8re d'\u00e9ducation aux m\u00e9dias et aux m\u00e9dias sociaux. En fin de compte, cet exercice vise \u00e0 fournir aux \u00e9tudiants les comp\u00e9tences n\u00e9cessaires pour \u00e9valuer de mani\u00e8re critique les informations en ligne, ce qui les rend mieux \u00e9quip\u00e9s pour naviguer dans le paysage en \u00e9volution rapide des m\u00e9dias \u00e0 l'\u00e8re num\u00e9rique d'aujourd'hui.
