Malgr\u00e9 la reconnaissance de son \u00e9volution en tant que discipline (Johnston et Webber, 1999 ; 2006), la communaut\u00e9 de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information a \u00e9t\u00e9 lente \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre le caract\u00e8re disciplinaire de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information. Revisitant cette id\u00e9e, ce panel d\u00e9crit comment la ma\u00eetrise de l'information s'aligne sur les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d'une discipline, y compris 1) une communaut\u00e9 de chercheurs, 2) des r\u00e9seaux de communication, 3) un code d'\u00e9thique, 4) des traditions et une histoire, 5) des modes d'enqu\u00eate, et 6) des connaissances partag\u00e9es. Les pan\u00e9listes inviteront les participants \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux r\u00e9sultats potentiels de la reconnaissance de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information en tant que discipline, notamment des collaborations plus solides, de nouveaux programmes de recherche et des programmes d'\u00e9tudes am\u00e9lior\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les quatre pan\u00e9listes sont membres d'un groupe international de chercheurs (ILIAD : Information Literacy Is A Discipline) d\u00e9sireux de faire progresser la conversation scientifique autour de l'id\u00e9e que la ma\u00eetrise de l'information est une discipline en pleine maturation. La session commencera par une description par le mod\u00e9rateur du panel du travail entrepris par ce groupe pour faire avancer cette discussion, y compris l'organisation de conversations avec des membres de la communaut\u00e9 de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information \u00e0 travers le monde, et des plans pour publier un livre \u00e9dit\u00e9 sur le sujet en 2025. (1) Un coordinateur de l'enseignement dans un coll\u00e8ge communautaire se concentrera sur la mani\u00e8re dont la reconnaissance de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information en tant que discipline permet de promouvoir l'enseignement de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information aupr\u00e8s des enseignants du d\u00e9partement. (2) Un biblioth\u00e9caire d'une institution de recherche soulignera comment le fait de reconna\u00eetre la ma\u00eetrise de l'information comme une discipline aide les biblioth\u00e9caires chercheurs \u00e0 explorer la ma\u00eetrise de l'information dans de nouveaux contextes. (3) Un enseignant en biblioth\u00e9conomie et sciences de l'information (LIS) et (4) un chercheur en \u00e9ducation se concentreront sur la fa\u00e7on dont l'id\u00e9e de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information en tant que discipline peut influencer la recherche et avoir un impact sur l'enseignement sup\u00e9rieur. Chacun des pan\u00e9listes r\u00e9pondra \u00e0 ces questions \u00e0 tour de r\u00f4le : 1) quelles sont, selon eux, les implications de la reconnaissance de la ma\u00eetrise de l'information en tant que discipline ? et 2) comment cette reconnaissance peut-elle nous aider \u00e0 demander davantage de ressources institutionnelles pour d\u00e9velopper de nouveaux programmes d'enseignement et de recherche en mati\u00e8re de ma\u00eetrise de l'information ?
