Elle examine les comportements et les attitudes des \u00e9tudiants universitaires \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de la lecture de textes acad\u00e9miques sur des appareils \u00e9lectroniques et sur des supports imprim\u00e9s. Cependant, plusieurs \u00e9tudes sur les pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences des \u00e9tudiants en mati\u00e8re de format de lecture montrent que la plupart d'entre eux pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent encore le format imprim\u00e9 au format num\u00e9rique pour leurs lectures acad\u00e9miques. Ils estiment que leur compr\u00e9hension et leur r\u00e9tention sont meilleures lorsqu'ils lisent leurs devoirs sur papier, mais ils appr\u00e9cient la commodit\u00e9 et l'accessibilit\u00e9 du format \u00e9lectronique.\nCe sujet est particuli\u00e8rement important pour les biblioth\u00e9caires qui cherchent \u00e0 trouver le bon \u00e9quilibre entre les documents \u00e9lectroniques et les documents imprim\u00e9s dans leurs collections. Il concerne \u00e9galement les enseignants qui souhaitent rendre les lectures aussi accessibles que possible, mais qui s'interrogent sur l'efficacit\u00e9 p\u00e9dagogique du format num\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectif<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La principale question de recherche de cette \u00e9tude est la suivante : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Quelles sont les pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences des \u00e9tudiants en mati\u00e8re de format lorsqu'ils s'engagent dans leurs lectures acad\u00e9miques ?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les questions secondaires sont les suivantes: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a) Quels sont les facteurs qui influencent leurs pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences et leurs comportements ? <br>b) Comment ces facteurs influencent-ils leurs comportements ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La plupart des recherches publi\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment sur ce sujet ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es dans des environnements anglophones. Cette \u00e9tude adoptera une perspective plus large afin de produire des r\u00e9sultats comparatifs et de voir si les pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences des \u00e9tudiants en mati\u00e8re de format de lecture varient ou restent coh\u00e9rentes au sein de populations \u00e9tudiantes multinationales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l'exception d'une question sur les manuels \u00e9lectroniques, cette \u00e9tude ne prend pas en compte les types de lecture sp\u00e9cifiques - monographies, articles de journaux, livres de cours - car avec la technologie actuelle, cette distinction est presque artificielle pour l'utilisateur final. Ce qui compte le plus pour eux, c'est la longueur, la complexit\u00e9, l'importance d'un texte pour leur travail, ainsi que le co\u00fbt et la commodit\u00e9. Les r\u00e9sultats de cette \u00e9tude mettront en \u00e9vidence ces facteurs et stimuleront les discussions sur les implications plus larges.<br>Pr\u00e9sentation de l'instrument<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Academic Reading Questionnaire (ARQ) est une enqu\u00eate en ligne de 25 questions - 17 \u00e9nonc\u00e9s de type Likert sur les pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences, les comportements et les attitudes en mati\u00e8re de format de lecture, bas\u00e9s sur les commentaires des \u00e9tudiants et les r\u00e9sultats d'\u00e9tudes ant\u00e9rieures, une question sur les appareils utilis\u00e9s pour lire les textes \u00e9lectroniques, six questions d\u00e9mographiques et une invite pour les r\u00e9ponses ouvertes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'ARQ original utilis\u00e9 dans l'\u00e9tude am\u00e9ricaine a fait l'objet d'un processus d'approbation par le Internal Review Board (IRB) de l'Universit\u00e9 de Californie \u00e0 Los Angeles (UCLA) pour des raisons m\u00e9thodologiques et \u00e9thiques avant d'\u00eatre certifi\u00e9 pour la distribution. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u00e9g\u00e8rement modifi\u00e9 pour une utilisation internationale afin d'inclure des questions sur la mani\u00e8re dont la langue d'une lecture peut influencer la pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence de format, une question sur le sexe et des choix plus larges sur le statut de l'\u00e9tudiant. Une question originale sur la moyenne g\u00e9n\u00e9rale (GPA, reflet de la r\u00e9ussite scolaire) a \u00e9t\u00e9 abandonn\u00e9e. Dans l'\u00e9tude am\u00e9ricaine, qui n'a interrog\u00e9 que des \u00e9tudiants de premier cycle, la discipline ou la mati\u00e8re principale des \u00e9tudiants ne s'est pas r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00eatre un facteur de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence en mati\u00e8re de format. L'\u00e9tude internationale inclura des \u00e9tudiants de tous niveaux, ce qui permettra d'\u00e9tudier les diff\u00e9rences de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence par discipline parmi les \u00e9tudiants
