The 8th European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL) was held in Krakow, Poland, from October 9 to 12, 2023. This major event brought together researchers, practitioners, and educators from around the world to discuss the latest advances and best practices in the field of information literacy. Organized jointly by Hacettepe University (Turkey), University of Zagreb (Croatia), and the Association for Information Literacy (InLitAs), France, the conference was hosted by the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The main theme of the conference was information experience and information literacy. The contributions came from 26 different countries and were subjected to a double-blind review process.
Publication of the Conference Proceedings
We are pleased to announce that the conference proceedings, entitled Information Experience and Information Literacy (Part 1 and Part 2), have been published by Springer. These two volumes collect 47 full papers that were selected after a rigorous review process
